My first ever Sweet Monsters were for my husband (then boyfriend) who maintains a strict gluten-free diet. Back then, there weren’t that many gluten-free options for him, especially freshly baked sweets, so I started baking him cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and of course birthday cakes :). My first creation was just a simple, plain gluten-free birthday cake. However, for his next birthday, I wanted something much more special and meaningful and that’s how I started making speciality craft cakes. Soon I was also making custom cakes for friends and family.
For me, it is so rewarding to see the smiles on people’s faces when they see my creations and is the reason I love baking for others. I started this business because I want to make more people happy beyond just my family and friends. My goal is to make something special and touching for everyone, whatever is their budget. P.S. If you’re wondering, the name of my company is inspired from my son and daughter who I often call my two little monsters. Most of the time though they’re sweet, just like the cupcakes I make!
